As further commitment to the brake industry, in May 2004 CTD acquired Tabco Auto Brake Co. Limited. In January 2005 CTD acquired the assets of All Metal Machine Specialties. Tabco and All Metal complement CTD's manufacturing base in North America by adding the production of drum brake shoe components and fine-blanked backing plates to our existing manufacturing capability. As a result, we can better serve our existing drum brake shoe and backing plate customers with a broader product array and improved lead times, from distribution centers in Conyers , Georgia , and Toronto , Canada .
Globally, CTD is part of the Util Group, which includes facilities in Italy (Util Industries), China (Util China , formerly Linchuang) and soon to be Mexico (Util Mexico ). Global presence provides further opportunities for our customer base in North America .
The facilities at CTD allow the production of conventionally blanked, conventionally blanked with shaving (fine blanked tolerances in caliper contact areas) and fine-blanked backing plates. All engineering, die design, die building and die maintenance is done in house as to provide superior quality on all product lines. CTD is ISO9002, QS9000 (3 rd ed.) Certified and will be TS16949 Certified by the end of 2006.
