CTD produces disc brake shims to address one of the biggest issues in the industry today, NVH. Capital Tool & Design offers the largest assortment of disc brake dampers (shims) in North America. CTD produces metal dampers utilizing some of the most advanced materials available in the market today. From constraint multi-layer shims to stainless steel and single layer, rubber coated shims, CTD has access to some of the most advanced, industry proven materials available today. CTD provides shims in various methods of attachments from PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive), PSA with clip-on, PSA with sure-lock, Thermoset material, and our newest offering Snap-lock attachment on either PSA or Thermoset material.
CTD also provides bulk shims in a Shim Kit package. Each kit consists of 2, 4, or 8 shims bagged and labeled to complete your brake set.
